Soap Nuts - A Natural Laundry Detergent

5 Stars

Product Description

Make the switch to a totally natural and organic way to clean your laundry! Soap nuts are berries that grow on trees in India & Nepal.  They contain large quantities of saponin in their shells, which acts as a natural, gentle detergent when it comes into contact with water. Without any chemicals, fragrances or dyes, they are safe and gentle enough for hand washing delicates, yet tough enough for regular laundry. They will leave your clothes soft, clean and fragrance free, eliminating the need for fabric softeners.

  1. Great natural alternative! 4 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Jun 2015

I do love these- they are so cool! Does not take out the stains or the smell from really sweaty clothes- still trying to find a natural alternative for that stuff- but overall very happy with it. Will save me money and I think it will be better for my two young boys with eczema. I also put in some essential oils in my softener compartment and it worked really well for my towels. One problem I am having though with my HE washer is the little bag of soap nuts keeps getting caught in the dirt tray at the front. Thankfully it seems to be during the rinse cycle I think.

  2. Awesome product and wonderful company! 5 Star Review

I love Jenuinely Pure soap nuts, they are an amazing product that I have told all my friends about. I lost my bag that comes with them, contacted customer service and they responded the same day (within a couple hours!!) They are shipping me some extras no cost and fast service. I would give them 6 stars if I could :)

  3. Am liking the Soap Nuts 5 Star Review

First time I heard about soap nuts was through Jeniunely Pure's website. I was intrigued and looking to reduce chemical contact for myself & my family. Read reviews & it seems like the majority love the little berries. So I ordered a small box Dec. 2011 and have washed every item at least twice with the soap nuts. I have discovered that my towels are softer, in fact most things are. I did a load of my husband's colored t-shirts & was really surprised how soft they were when I removed them from the dryer. I don't use fabric sheets & have been using white vinegar in my rinse cycle for a couple of years now. I too have an HE washer so I am very pleased with the nuts. I just LOVE the FRESH CLEAN SCENT too! Still getting used to knowing when the nuts/berries are used up, but I'm sure I'll get there. I had been using ALL clear laundry detergent for years, but am very happy with the soap nuts. I did add oxiclean to my whites (don't like too, but what's the alternative?)

  4. Nice, Natural Product 4 Star Review

I am happy to report that these seem to be doing a good job at cleaning our laundry. I like that they are natural. They don't get out tough stains, but even my Tide doesn't do a great job of that. It doesn't seem to bother our skin (and we have had issues in the past with other natural detergents). Overall, I am pleased, and will just spot treat as necessary for those tough stains.

  5. Soap Nuts are the BEST 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Aug 2011

I discovered soap nuts over a year ago and I have to say I love them. I have two teens heavily involved in very sweaty sports. I have an HE washer and I see what comes out of the washer through my tub next to the machine. It gets out dirt like crazy. If soap nuts can clean my boys very dirty clothes then soap nuts can clean anything. I love using them and will never go back to traditional detergent.
